All of Heather’s Dirty Good products enhance and highlight flavors of what they are intended to be paired with and many times, things they were not. One thing is consistent, the rubs are damn good on everything. Woman-owned and Minnesota created, sourced and produced, we can easily say supporting local never tasted so good.

​Heather's Mission: To create rubs that consist of unique high quality ingredients with minimal use of salt.  Many rubs use salt as a cheap filler-not us. At HDG, we have a mission to reduce or eliminate salt usage as much as possible and in turn creating tasty rubs that are heart healthy.

The Original:

This is the original folks. Where it all started. This “everything friendly” rub came out Heather’s kitchen experimentation trying to find a combination of herbs that highlighted lamb chops. Well, they are not only damn good on lamb chops but after handing this rub out as gifts to random people, they returned not only wanting more but sharing their heroic stories of usage. From turkey dinners with the dripping of dirty good original used for gravy to mixing with oil and using for a full body exfoliation. Hey, whatever you are into man…this is a judgement free zone. Dirty Good Original is here for you..you and your meat. Get rubbin’.

CENSORED:

Heather’s got a passion for meat. Her second passion? Heat. Third passion? Rhyming. Let’s do this. Censored is a dirty good blend of habanero and jalapenos with a side kick of “holy sh*t”! Add this fire alarm rub to all meat and seafood or sprinkle on pasta, eggs, pizza and whatever else you’d like to ignite.

Have those pesky relatives that think your home is an Extended Stay? Add this fiery rub to your meals and they’ll politely leave.  Common sense says to keep it away from your eyes, children and other areas where habanero powder doesn’t belong, you weirdo. Enough chit chat. Go grab a jug of milk, a jar of Censored and get grillin’. Censored, for your pleasure.

Ingredients:  Smoked Paprika, Dehydrated Vegetables (including Garlic and Onion), Habanero, Herbs and Spices, Jalapeno, Chiles, Aleppo Pepper, Parsley, Sea Salt, Garlic Salt and Black Pepper.

Sophisticated:

Sometimes complex can be a good thing. Marriages… no. Commission structures…definitely not. Meat rubs…absolutely. This sophisticated rub has honey and powdered beer that we then partner with the smooth heat of chipotle and ancho chilies. That’s just the beginning of it my dear colleagues. Rub Sophistication on ribs, steaks, chicken and seafood or as a base for creole or BBQ sauces. We’ve heard rumors of it being used as mustache pomade and one dame used it to rim her martini. As with many of Heather’s products, it’s top drawer on just about everything. Here’s the plan Mr. and Ms. Fancy Pants: Order your butler out to pick up a jar of Sophistication, decanter your wine, grab your monocle and let’s get grilling. Tip top.

Ingredients: Chipotle, Paprika, Ancho, Salt, Powdered Beer (maltodextrin, beer, malted barley, corn syrup, hops, yeast), Raw Cane Sugar, Honey, Garlic, , Parsley, Dehydrated Vegetables (including onion), Oregano, herbs and spices,  Cumin, Mace, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, and Black Pepper.

Vintage:

Vintage to us means classic and timeless.  Sometimes you don’t want that rub that screams “Look at me! Look at me! Look at me!” like your sibling who went to that fancy college and always did everything right. What a show off, right? Let’s digress.  Once in a while it’s nice to have a rub you can depend on as an accessory, a highlight, an accent. Vintage is a unique blend of Juniper Berries, Smoked Paprika, Raw and Brown Sugar with a kick of Cayenne. We find it quite tasty all meats, chicken and seafood. If you happen to be blessed with access to wild game this rub is the perfect pairing on a slab of venison, elk or bison. Enough talking…grab your meat and get rubbin’.

Burlesque:

HUBBA HUBBA

This Burlesque show is worth catching. A little satin, a little lace and roaring grill waiting for Burlesqued meat. With the unique combo of cocoa, cinnamon and cayenne, apply seductively to any meat begging for something a little different. This is particularly tasty on pork, chicken, shrimp, steaks (so yes, everything) and heck…use this cocoa goodness in your next Chili batch and get your fishnets knocked off! Let’s  go you Mad Foodie Scientist. Chuck some Burlesque tassels on those breasts … chicken breasts that is … and get grillin’ already.

Ingredients: Cocoa, Cinnamon, Sea Salt, Cayenne, Coriander, Herbs and Spices, and Nutmeg.
